Basic Pistol (2nd weekend each month)
Shooting fundamentals, safety & the law. No experience necessary. Required for an Oklahoma handgun license. 6-hours classroom, 2-hours range time. $125 fee; free loaner guns; ammo available at cost. Offered through Northeastern State University Continuing Education.
NRA Basic Reloading (3rd weekend/month)
Learn to safely make your own rifle & pistol ammo. Equipment, supplies & textbook provided. 10-hour/2-day NRA course; $250. Offered through Northeastern State University Continuing Education.
Personal Firearms Training (custom schedule)
Limited pistol or rifle training tailored to the students' specific interests or needs. Usually 1-2 hours on the range. Free loaner guns. Course fee: $40/hr plus cost of ammo. Offered through Northeastern State University Continuing Education.
NRA Basic Rifle (custom schedule)
Eight-hour NRA course on safety & basics of shooting. No experience necessary. Free loaner rifles. Course fee: $125. Offered through Northeastern State University (NSU) Continuing Education. Email, text or call to arrange a class.

Private short & custom courses to meet your needs. Good for youth or those with no experience who want to try pistol or rifle shooting with close supervision. Free loaner pistols & rifles available. Ammo provided at cost. $40/hour.

Oakley Defense is named after Thomas Oakley Salmon (1921-2014), my father. He was a combat veteran of WWII & Vietnam, a man of integrity, compassion & kindness. He taught me to shoot.
